if you only have 1 or 2 pistols, a display box maybe the answer

    .
box £6 and felt off the bay..[.why DOES this site have a phobia about the real name...]
the foam is cut to the shape of the pistol, felt added loosely, pistol inserted, box closed for about 5days, and the felt will 'creep' into the cut-outs

hi all, just like to add these very poor pics of my display cabinet.using an idea unashamedly nicked from troubled shooter. I purchased an oak framed 52"x 72" display cabinet from the bay.a capable friend and I dismantled it and reduced the depth from 12" to 5".backed it with some ply which was covered with emerald green bieze.it has hardened glass sliding lockable doors.it is very heavy and needed substantial brackets to fix it to the wall.i use it to house the better looking members of my pistol collection.all the non airguns in the cabinet are obsolete calibre or muzzle loading.the pics are poor as the lighting in my office is not good for photography and the cabinet is so big I cant get far enough away from it to get a clear photo.i really must get a decent camera .also I am rubbish at taking pics, cheers,,greasemonkey http://i1278.photobucket.com/albums/...psa93b18bf.jpg http://i1278.photobucket.com/albums/...psaff8f768.jpg http://i1278.photobucket.com/albums/...ps76bf510e.jpg

I used to hang them on the wall (my 'study' - never studied anything in it though) then I went for a fancy set of drawers (the wooded type not nylon with a gusset), then I made a display shelf unit with shelves under.

Trouble is whatever I have done I always run out of space, the display shelves I allowed extra space for 20 guns in but now it is full to overflowing so I am going to have a re-think.
