pricey
I don't buy the airgun comics........
I didn't mean every shot velocity just the max / min and standard deviation over the 255 shots - its not being anal it shows how well the valve setup and regulator are working. Would be nice to know
For £1200 i'd be expecting 2fps deviation or less!!!

A quality gun I am sure...
...and boy what a bunch of glass 1/2 full, moaning, pee-on-ones fireworks people there are - blimey!
Value for money is a tough thing to measure in a gun... that it shoots accurately and consistently are clear priorities. How it shoots, it feels, its put together - these are other measures. At the end of the day it's the purchaser who makes the call.
...and with respect but some of the "nicest" guns I have owned don't make for good chrono sheets buts still out-shoot most people most of the time!
Of course YMMV.
I think and therefore...... I refuse to steal someone else's quote to try to sound more erudite or profound than I actually am.
Prefer the original rapid and there prices
Why not post the chrono results you have done already???
Shot to shot consistency is a foundation to good accuracy as long as the barrel is good and pellets are of a consistant weight, size and shape.
Look forward to seeing the results

I doubt even the very best of us shoot good enough in real world conditions to notice +/- 20fps extreme spread although I do agree that its a measure (but not the only one) of the precision of the build.

I'm interested to know how well its setup.....
My fn12 .177 has a SD of 2.4fps with pellets straight out of the tin, and that's with an 86cc reservoir and no regulator.

Have a look: http://www.airgunbbs.com/showthread....chrono-results

Haven't got round to that yet - even over 10 shots you can see that everything is working together and in balance.
The FN12 does have a power curve due to being unregulated and having such a small reservoir. So all things being equal a gun with a regulator and large reservoir - should be better - yes???
