    Although there were factory plating options, many around have been after-market plated over the years. Giveaways include burred screw heads with a 'perfect' finish. Webley accommodated for the extra thickness of plating at the factory, so an indication of non-genuine work can also be excessive wear at the barrel pivot (or maybe not enough wear if it's a recent plating) where the barrel lug is consequently a bit wide for the recess. Caveat emptor...
