    Smile 60,s Relum stuff

I saw a few old Meccano magazines today and was looking at the adverts. stick another post up about the Webley ads but this is about Relums.
From October 1961 there was an advert for the Slavia
    No1 bore 618R
    No2 Bore 622

From October 1963 there was an advert for the Tornado with numbers I did not recognise

    Telly 877 No1 bore
    Telly 822 No2 bore

    Telly 977 No1 bore
    Telly 922 No2 bore

There was no mention of another model other than the Tornado in the advert.
    However, it did mention

    Relum Air rifles
    Relum ltd
    Ossulston Street
    London
Nw1 and there was a small picture of a ship in a circle with "Artex" underneath it.

Any info IJ? or anyone else?

Artex was one f the brands Relum used. You will find it on some of the stock medallions. The numbers are interesting, they might refer to variations of the Tornado, but interesting that .177 also advertised. I think very few of these were imported into the UK.

Any chance do seeing a scan of this Guy?

Indeed and Guy's ads are here. Any ideas? Personally I like the 'Shoot first and and ask questions later' one, as you'd certainly want to be asking some pretty searching questions about a Relum later.....

Have to say , never had a problem with my Tornado, mint early one that cost me £40.00, but yes its agricultural but effective at short- barn -yard ranges.

Great site Guy. Have to say that looks like a Supertornado stock with a LG527 put in it, though FEG tended to mix and match a lot so its quite likely to be one of their offerings.

I deleted my post as the links didn't seem to work anymore. Ollies photo bucket stuff didn't want to come up on this computer. Is it because they have Fe-ked about with the site/ terms and conditions? Will any photobucket stuff now need putting elsewhere unless you pay?

http://cikkek.ponggi.hu/ujdonsag.php Can anybody sort out this link?
