Air Arms S400 .177 loves AA 7.87gr but hates 8.44gr when die S1.04 is used
I have two Air Arms in .22. An s410 and a Prosport. Perhpas I am lucky, but the barrells seem well matched and so far seem to like the same pellets.
Top of the pile (out to 40 yards, havent tested further) are Bisley Long Range Gold and RWS superdomes. Can't seperate between them yet.
Slightly behind those are AA Field. Slightly larger groups consitantly on multiple days.
Crosman Premier magnums were all over the place.
I'd also quite like to try some JSB exacts as a lot of people seem to like them.
One question I do need to answer is, will the long range gold hold tighter groups at 50 yards than the superdomes? My local range is only 40yrds! I think this would go some way to deciding what would be my regular pellet as superdomes are between £3-5 less than L.R.G per tin

hello,
my .177 tx hc prefers air arms diabolo field 4.52
walther lgu likes 4.52 jsb exacts
.22 hw 99 prefers superdomes,
out of the three, the walther is the least
pellet fussy. pretty much any
ammo will give reasonable groups,
but the exacts just have the edge.
also have just sold a sorted th78.
which did very well on air arms diabolo field 5.52
any recommendations on a pellet for a rapid in .177?
just starting out.
hello was just wondering what pellet would people recommend for a bsa super ten
Good luck it can take a while to complete the full mission, to create a web site is a mission on its own many different options let me mo how you get on thanks
I have decided that I will make one of these free websites which will have a list on of what works well in different guns. This should save people time and money because they should be able to atleast narrow the possible pellets down before even buying a tin!
I realise that even diferent guns of the same model can prefer different pellets but this should go atleast some way to heling people!
But, I only have one air rifle and So I need your help, please reply to this thread with the make, model and caliber of your rifle/pistol and what pellets or pellets it likes.
Thanks,

I was trying JSB Exact Monster Diablos in my .177 TX200hc yesterday. These things weigh 13.43gr - I've got .22 pellets that are lighter.
I'd fired around 30 shots at a 25yrd target when, a pidgeon landed about 35rds away. One of these pellets knocked it straight over so quick and clean.
They're pretty big pellets without a waist. The whole thing is kind of straight & cylindrical. The accuracy and take down power are fantastic.
All of the above.
