    Question Period scope?

My 1st post in this section!!!

I'll be getting a MK1 Bsa Superstar very soon and quite fancy getting a scope of the right age to use on it......

Any one got any ideas of what make / model to look for??

    Thanks guys!

Hi Daz ,I run a good few classic springers and I try and use scopes from those periods which are kassner apollo jap glass tasco and nikko stirlings, bentlys , fontaine and optima's most of these are low mag ideally x4-6 mag, I do have some variables mags fitted too but not really needed, the thing I love about these makes and models is they all ( I think) had Japanese glass with really sharp optics and the optima's and some fontaine scopes have bullet drop compensator cams (BDC) fitted to them of which work well. They should not cost you a fortune either if you look around, good luck.

Hi Doug, thanks a lot for your reply to my post.

I'd just like it to be as it was when it was new with the same type of scope fitted.
I'll keep an eye out for the makes mentioned!
    Cheers!!

Yes a period Tasco would look good on it.....

I've got a Tasco high country 6-24x40 ao scope but that would be far too long for it i think.....

The very first Superstar I ever saw had a Tasco W416 perched on it and it worked -a very nice combo.

Good thing about the Superstar it was about for a few years. Anyone know when they stopped making them?
