    Where are they?

I haven't seen Hal, Aitch20 and Neil 180 on recently.

    Anyone heard from them?

    Always on it, young man.

Yep, next June does seem a very long way off....Maybe we CAN convince Mick to have a Guy Fawkes Bash...after all, he likes playing with bonfires!!!

Was hoping for a relaxing evening tonight.....did manage to have a quick plink with one of my 35s today.

But, this evening's going to go not quite as planned....Yesterday, my little toe was sore and swollen...not sure if I'd been bitten or something....my entire right foot has continued today, swelling bigger and bigger. Just struggled on doggy walk big time, shoe bursting at the seams. And in loads of pain right now, so my planned relaxed evening is going to be a visit to A&E.....setting off shortly.

Ouch! I do hope they sort your foot for you quickly Tony.

I do feel sorry for Mick though. It can't be easy trying to run his business with us lot always wanting to come and play in his field.

But now you mention it Tony, I am free around Bonfire night........

It would be good to celebrate Guy Fawkes on Mick's hallowed and much missed ground. "The only good man ever to go to Parliament" some feel.

I've had a really severe case of Higham on the Hill blues: lethargy, aches, trembling, involuntary tent pitching, lighting small fires etc, nearly went for a pee behind the curtains, but was able to stop myself just in time.

At first some relief could be gained by buying pellets, but this didn't last. I felt compelled to strip the 99 & fit a TinBum kit & piston liner in order to dull the perpetual ache, but to no avail. On Friday, I had to buy a rifle........

    ........In Portsmouth!

The Missus was so worried she drove me there & back.

The new gun could well be 'The One' I think, a Phoenix Fast Fire 10, a sweet actioned tack driver (out to 40yds mind).

The bleeding from the ears has almost stopped now, but dear God, will this poignant yearning never end

Must be brave though and wish you all the best with the grass crop Mick!

    Fantastic.....got there around 8.30. Didn't get seen until 11.30!

Yep, the foot had carried on getting bigger and redder all that time. Swollen on the top and underneath. Bloody lovely, not! The doc even insisted on an x-ray, in case I'd broken it. I explained that I hadn't done anything to even hint at a break, but he wasn't having any of it. Two x-rays later (and more NHS time and money wasted) and, would you believe it? My foot wasn't broken! So, he's putting it down to an insect bite and reaction to. Got the antibiotics and hope it clears quickly!

Struggling to stand now, let alone walk, but that doggy needs walking in the morning!

Certainly won't be at work tomorrow, so god help you lot, as I'll have loads of time to get-a-boinging on here!!

Of course you're totally right Mel - its just our clubby fun....

The 'Westy' IS a great improvement on the Daystate item & arrived quickly.

@ TonyL - Best wishes for a speedy recovery footwise mate.

Tony,:try an anti-histamine pill that usually works for insect stings and bites.

Slinger, if you don't like the quality of the standard case get one of the high impact cases from Maplin, they are a good pelicase clone and are on offer at the moment for £39.99. Totally waterproof and pick-n-pluck foam inside, that's what mine is in now.

    Cheers

    Correct, Sasquatch.

Is it right that you couldn't remember which toe was bitten so the Doctor thought you had a case of Mixametoesis.

    All the best Mick

Glad you like the Westy, it is a big improvement on the standard, the Rowan is an excellent pellet feeder also but it's a tad dearer than the Westy.
