Ah, yes, we have a similarly miserable little so-and-so at out local Post Office, too.

    Must come with the territory!!

Thanks ever so much for this, Mick. All existing, standard screws usable? And will get some Loctite and sort the shifty foresight unit.

It'd still be nice to know whodunit, though!!!!

I've no idea on the front screws Tone but the rear one should be OK.

Cheque received today from Ace Face, sorry --- Trumpetier.

Be good to see you again Dave.

Don't forget to try to look a bit ugly this time to make the rest of us look better (TonyL mainly)

Pretending to have a hunchback could work well.

    Cheers, Mick.

Looking at piccies of the synthetic stock ones the other night, they appear to be slot heads, so guessing that they're the same.

I've played stock-swapping in the past and they are compatible.

    John.
    Already sorted, John.

It's all BBF's fault, asking for fairy lights.

    Just don't tell Mick yet!

Don't say that John or they will.

I've no plans for anything at present other than June next year and of course Bonfire night --- and I'm only doing Bonfire night as folks requested it (the mad fools).

So no fixed plans for anything else at present --- besides I don't know how many Boingermen we'll lose to hypothermia in November yet.

So count me in Mick, and book me a chair space near the bonfire. A cheque will be sent on to you with all due speed.

I can't wait for November, to catch up with all of you Diehards again, especially Maz to see how his artillery calibre (.25) HW80 is doing and if he's sorted out it's favourite ammo.

I noticed that someone had mentioned "Higham on the Hill blues" - perhaps we should ask our Scots musician friend Graeme to pen us a song by that name.
Btw, Graeme tells me that he'd clocked up over 1300 miles on his road trip by the time he got back to his north of Glasgow home.

Ooooooo! Just had a thought for Nick Tinbum - if Blackbeard can come will he be needing a lift from Bristol? I intend to be making my way up from Clevedon on (early) Saturday morning if that's any use to him, but he'll have to cut down on his baggage!!!

Looking forward to seeing everyone again at Airgun Valhalla.

    Alastair
    Clogger,

If the offer of a lift is still open then yes please. Sorry I didn't reply earlier. Only need a bit of baggage for one night of camping.

    Andy

Cheers Mick, you do more than enough any way !

The Hypothermia point is very valid. All folks camping should make sure they take enough gear to keep warm. I've spent too many long cold winter nights in bivveys around carp lakes in my past to know what cold feels like ! Mind you I'm still crackers as I spend winter days tramping up and down scottish hillsides braving driving rain and sleet coming in off the atlantic !
