...still a dedicated HW user though - but the HW40 SSP should give a better score than the HW45 springer even though we have seen some very good results from the Silver Star and Black Star versions of the '45 - the slightly better grip is a big help.

My first new air pistol was an HW70 - the first type with the brown plastic grip. The grip almost had a tortoise shell look to it, and no safety catch (of course) but I sold it in the early 70's when I bought a new Original Model 6. Wish I still had that HW70...

Had a 9 hour round trip to see a specialist optician to get the right shooting lens for my wife and I, so should have them up and working early next week. My wife will then catch up with her scores, she has changed eyes too, if you know what I mean, and now no longer shoots cross dominant due to laser treatment for a detached retina in the dominant eye. I'm in trouble deep!!!
She really likes the HW40 and has threatened to use it at Bisley this weekend but me having to cock it for her will exclude stop all that!!!

Scores are coming in well at the moment and I'm updating the monthly scores but as this is the last month of the comp I will update the overall tables also so you can see the race to the finish - well kinda.

    Hi George,

I have just sent you some more scores - I thought I would give the Model 6 a run with some GECO pellets at 6 yards.

Good fun - if I could stop shaking it could be even better

Merry Christmas and thanks for all your help with the 6 yard postal MPL series
