The inner barrel has an external concentric piston with a leather seal fastened to it at breeach end.
This compresses the air around the outside of the inner barrel as it flies forward in the cylinder.
The transfer port is drilled into barrel part way along and the reason why the loading pin is so long, to push the projectile ahead of the transfer port....simples

Simple...they dont! I was thinking a gat tournament would be a good laugh, with targets about the size of a dartboard with the bull 6" at least in dia. would be shot at 6ft range(i know pushing it a bit for most gats accuracy) & posted up here for all to see.
