Nice rifle Harry and a lovely bit of wood , I found the best pellet in my 55mm was Bisley LRG's worth a try
Dashed back home after a phone call to say a parcel had arrived for me.
Fresh from Germany, serial number dates her to 1956/7 happy to say the least.

Period canvas (oilskin ?) gunbag a great bonus, original dioptre, match heavy barrel and a safety-less Rekord.
58 years young, wear is nominal and condition excellent for the period, but a service is overdue, a trial firing left a pellet poking out of the barrel.
Rubber recoil pad perishing at the edges, but still overly solid.

A great example.
Definitely the best of the breed these early 55Ts. Having pipped you to another quite the same, i was happy to see your post this evening Harry. Feels just right when you snuggle into that woodwork!
