Hello
Yes, there are traders that will buy or px your old springer. How much they are interested will depend on condition and what it is. Look for the stands that deal in airguns only as you will have a better response.

Thank you
i would't bother mate, been there today and very little in the way of air rifles this year.
Just returned from the fair. Lots of collectable air rifles and air pistols to choose from. Anything from a box load of pre war Webley Mark 1 air pistols in varying condition to a Vulcan Deluxe in fine condition, which fetched £140. There are several airgun specialist dealers in attendance, which will take an airgun in PX or sell you one. A good fair, as always. Will probably go again tomorrow!

Think I'd better get down there later in the year. Going to Preston Arms Fair on Bank Holiday Monday so not possible this time.
I found a nice late wood grip Webley Mark I pistol to replace a not quite so late one. Trouble is the one I'm looking to sell shoots very smoothly and I shall miss her when she's gone!
I also found a 1929 BSA Standard No 1 with original aperture sight, white etching and what Lakey calls the transitional type of stock. I wasn't looking for the latter but just could not resist. Once again, I'll need to sell another Light Pattern BSA to make room for this fine new specimen. I have 2 etched A Series lights and will have to be mercenary and let my very early serial number A4 go! Well, maybe I'll have one more night with her at the club before advertising her.

Hi John (and Josie)
I'm going saturday morning to hopefully pick up a few things, including a BSA via Keith Bayliss from Binners.
What time are you going to be there (so i can say 'hi')? ... and any idea where i find Keith?
cheers
Richard
As you enter the main hall he will be to your right in the the corner. That is if you come from the main entrance and though the small hall. He always seems to be in that position.

BE AN INDEPENDENT THINKER, DON'T FOLLOW THE CROWD
Hi Richard,
I've only just picked your reply up and we have just returned from Bisley, so am sorry to have missed you
Hope you had a good day and found Keith ok - he's usually quite prominent in his corner and nearly always has a swarm of collectors around his stall!
I found another Webley for the collection today - a 1940s Webley Junior that was factory engraved to hide foundry faults in the frame at the point of inspection.
Kind regards,
John
I went Sunday and it was quiet.
Very relaxing with time and space to look and chat.
I don't think I missed any bargains or rarities- I guess they are long gone before punters arrive!
Binners sold me a good BSA Supersport in .177.
Hardly used by look of it.
I also bought a Challenger Arms Corporation Plainsman .22 co2 pistol from Keith.
These are rare and certainly the noisiest co2 pistols around - as in BANG !!!
Nice weather and a quiet M3 both ways.
Not keen on War Of The Worlds yellow cameras -not in use yet!
When they are they still won't catch the 95 mph plumbers van.
If that's what they are for.
Hi,
I looked at the Plainsman, a very solidly built pistol. I finally succumbed to temptation and bought a Benjamin 422 semi-auto also from Keith. I know these pistols have a poor reputation for reliability, but at least it came boxed with paperwork, pellets and an unused Co2 capsule, so it may end up as part of the static collection. I would however appreciate any guidance as to a possible alternative pellet to the recommended Benjamin HC which might work in this pistol.
Regards
Brian
