60 yard spinners with the NickG LGU

As part of a conversation with NickG on the book of faces, he suggested that I try a few long shots with the LGU just to get a feel for it.

    and another video is born........

    Blimey, Neil!

That seems even sweeter and less movement than the other day!

And the poor old Quigley Bucket ain't gonna stand a chance.

Nice one again; superb result Nick and Neil.

Hi Neil, how much does the impact point change when you take it off the rest and shoot off a cushion that allows the gun to recoil naturally?

That would give a guide to hold sensitivity.

    Cheers

I'm sorry I don't know mate - I will have a go later on and do exactly what you describe then let you know the results

This video was simply the result of a conversation between myself and NickG where he suggested that I try some long shots to see how the gun performed. I used the rest because I am a crap shot and tend to do an impression of some kind of jelly in a gale when I try to shoot unsupported lol

A little like the firing cycle on your laser-guided 52, I suspect.

When I tune my guns, I set the zero in my garden at 15 yds off a bag, I then go to the range and shoot off my knee, or standing or kneeling, there is no change in poi, That's how I tune them, My primary aim ( no pun intended) is to get the gun as easy to shoot accurately as possible, the sound and the feel is secondary for me

My 77 has the least movement of all my rifle tunes, though some people don't like it as it feels like a gas ram . its so quick.

    Nick

I was sat up the garden in the sun yesterday reading a recent Airgun World.

Jim was talking about the difference between the tested accuracy of a springer from a padded rest ... and the real life accuracy when shooting from natural shooting positions. Not always the same. So your way is very sensible.

Very impressive, but have you got a NickG tuned TX200 to do it with for a comparison
