I Agree you scan the net looking for a great deal and hope no has spotted it ,just to find that’s it been broadcast on hear so there no point in searching any more wish people cold keep it to them self s it much more fun that way i for one wont bother logging in on Saturday not now every webley collector on hear has been alerted to it with out doing any trawling

I kind of know what you mean, but I started collecting fairly late in life and would have had little chance of finding the items I wanted without the benefit of the internet and forums such as this one before time eventually ran out.

With the advent of the internet, it really doesn't take too much effort to find items like this and it would be naive to believe somebody really looking for one wouldn't also come across it without its appearance and discussion on forums.

I also believe discussion is beneficial for less experienced collectors so that they can be made aware of current prices and what to look out for at auctions etc. For instance that this lot is a Mk1 in what would have been a Senior case.
