    Target sights for Diana 75?

This is a hypothetical question rather than a wanted add.

How difficult would these (front post and rear diopter) be to get hold of and what would be the most likely source in the UK?

They probably come up on eGun from time to time, I know, but not very often I suspect. I have never seen them.

If you ask a hypothetical you can't really expect an answer, Arthur!

I have seen them come up occasionally over the years, although the chances of getting one when you want one seems quite slim, or you'd have to pay top whack. A rear diopter on its own compared to one as part of a rifle package is expensive, as you know.

Also, you need to make sure you buy a 75 sight that fits your rifle, since apparently there's at least two types:

Arthur, try wonky donkey, he is always a good starting point on all things 'target', Protek is sometimes worth a look. As for two types, I wasn't aware of that but it may be different styles and same size dovetail, so I suppose it depends on whether you want perfect originality or just to shoot. I often change sight systems on my 10m rifles if I think there is an improvement for me, although some systems are 'dedicated'. I will now do what I should have done earlier and go check out the link in the previous post to see the differences.

Just looked at the link and then followed on with the other links. Fascinating! I will now have to go and look at my Originals and do some checking on the sights, but I think my 75's are older models and not T 01's I should know really but I claim old codgers brain fade and to be honest I hadn't really thought about this because all my guns came with what I assume are appropriate sights. Anyway that's my bit of knowledge learned for today and I now have to make time to look at my Originals and do some comparisons. Cheers

    True.

Some have already guessed the reason for my question: a 75 in excellent condition that some fool has lost or sold the target sights for.

What is the point in taking such a beautiful piece of engineering and putting a scope on it?

And a cheap scope at that?

I have been that fool, and am still looking for the wheely thing and screwy thing for the rearsight, 20 years later for my 66.

Though it was first a Simmons 4-12x40, and then a Leupold, not a cr@p one.

The point is lighting the heads of Swan Vestas at 10+ metres.

But losing the diopter fixing bits is pretty stupidly humbling.

I found a good rear sight on a German site.

No idea of which model of 75 it would fit though.

Front sight seems to be more of a problem.

And thank you, Ian, for the lead on the wheely/screwy bits.
