I had my Mk 2 serviced (new seals and felt scraper) by Checkmate Guns in September. Chrono tests showed 380fps average. This was with an 8 grain JSB.
Can anyone please confirm what the actual (measured) velocity is from the 604 (pellet dependant of course).
Also whether there is any difference in velocity between the Mk1 and the Mk2. I understand the Mk2 was slightly longer so maybe that affected the length of the barrel/air cylinder.
I have read one bbs thread that mentioned that the 604 fell short of the published 400fps, and read on other forums values of 370fps even when seals have been replaced.
Thank You

Mine was the same 375-380 IIRC, I do recall the whole reason I traded up was it sometimes didn't punch clean holes in the cards.
That said, it certainly wasn't inaccurate - but it did make me wonder if the pellets were starting to tumble at 10m...
Interesting and more or less what I expected. Not a million miles off the 6004 mentioned here.
One other thing, I thought the only differences between mk 1 & 2's related to the trigger and grips.
As far as I knew all the other parts were the same...
It certainly doesn't hole punch like my LP2.
There's discernible ragging. The pellets are certainly not tumbling though.
One thing I will say, even though it makes my wallet ache. The 604's grip is
A lot better than the Steyr's.
The 604 just looks soooo cool too.
"The 604 just looks soooo cool too."
I will confess that was a significant factor in me getting one. It just looks "right".
The Fas was designed to look just like their .22lr and .32 target pistols which is why it looks so good

I had a Fas 602 when I was a junior in the GB Juniors , those pictures take me back! It was lovely, and I never had any feed issues with mine.....others claimed the Fas was very ammo fussy.
Thanks for posting the pics....
