    A Britannia Air Pistol

For Sale: A 1930s Britannia air pistol. This is among the most sought after push in barrel models and was made by Frank Clarke, who acquired the Britannia name from Bonehill. Markings on both sides of the grip are readable and the pistol retains traces of worn original finish. The screw breech pin is believed to be original to the pistol. The action cocks and fires, albeit inaccurately in my hands.

The Britannia retains its original box, although the artwork is distressed and one of the lid sides is missing (part of it has survived and this is included). I have taken close up photos of the lid artwork - the design being one of the most attractive to have been used on an air pistol box in my opinion. The base of the box has a compartment for pellets/darts and contains an envelope of Britannia darts in good condition. £195 F2F or can post RMSD for an additional £12

Having problems uploading piccys, John. (Yes I do use dropbox).

Can you email me a few or put them on a different server please? (Photobucket?).

Bl**din' Dropbox. Wish I'd never installed it and do not have the techno knowledge to uninstall and replace with something more user friendly.

Anyway, I have emailed you individual images - hope they work.

    Kind regards,

    John

Thanks Brian - not sure why it works for some and not for others

    Hello John,

For what it's worth, the pellet seater looks to be absolutely correct for the Britannia which happens to be the same seater used on Anson's Star.

    Regards

I would rather like this one, as long as I can get up to collect it. How would I need to pay you?

    Hi Ollie,

Paypal/Bank Transfer is fine or cash if we meet up. If easier than Basingstoke, not sure if you go anywhere near Bisley on your travels or perhaps Birmingham arms fair on Sunday?

Please PM me and we'll arrange a suitable time & place.

    Kind regards,

    John

    Thanks Brian,

I thought it was correct but am not as knowledgeable on push in barrel air pistols as others. Appreciate your confirmation.
