pressure gauge leak
Hi all,
Maybe someone has had this happen and fixed it ... and can help me out ?
My T10 scorpion has a quickfill / gauge as aftermarket. Done by the magic of XTX Darrin..... a few years back.
From the description on his site I believe its a tench quickfill and gauge (white face, plastic gauge shroud).
I see from his site after contacting him ... hes deep in some R&D so basically unavailable. ...
hence me putting this on here in the hope of help..
In short its sprung leak .....
the leak is coming from the oring between the gauge and brass quickfill.
took the gauge off.....its not a separate washer type to seal... its a collar on the reverse of the gauge with O ring and what appears to be a black "seal" hard
against the base of the thread.
This seal is basically flattened off and the o ring is offering no cushion effect when nipping it up it nips up metal to metal ....theres no obviousdifference in the diameter of the o ring and the collar height.
It appears to me both these "seals" are perhaps flattened and knacked ? OR ??
Is it just the large oring
or
the seal built into the reverse of the gauge .. can you change this ?
or
is it in need of a replacement gauge ? ...
any help appreciated
Thanks

but if anyone knows otherwise ??
Thanks
