    Clause 81 petition

This is a petition is against a law that could afffect all of us!!!

The petition is to stop clause 81 of the Police and Crime Bill being passed into law.

The clause allows the Police, and ONLY the POLICE the right to be consulted on by the Home Secretary on any amendments to the Home Office guide on Firearms law!!!!!! So nothing from your MP, the NSRA, the NRA, or you!

I'm not clever enough to give you the link but its Petition 127045

Struggling to find any evidence that this is true.

Please can someone provide a link to a credible source for the wording of Clause 81.

    Take a look at http://www.publications.parliament.u...en/16134en.pdf

Clause 81 starts page 107 and it doesn't say anything like the OP claims.

The above is not the Bill, the bill is I think Bill 158 ( not sure!) and one should also be aware that bills are revised from the original, as of the 13th April the clause in question is now clause 107 and it still reads that the Home secretary must consult the Police, there is no requirement to consult ANY OTHER. We all know that means they either won't or will reject others as not required.

I have made no claims other than is on a Government petition and have passed it on, and resent the implication that I have.
