[QUOTE=1066;6971673]That's interesting - What advantages will RCBS set give you?[/QUOTE
For one I wont have to keep altering the seating dies as it is a "38 special" also they don't have any lock ring which can be a bit of a pain, I have the rock chucker supreme press .
Are you saying you want some .357 dies to load .38 special? - They work the other way round .38 spec will load .357 but .357 won't load .38 spec.
A spare set of three Lee locking rings cost about £3.00, if you put two rings back to back on each die you can nip them together and they'll stay put.
I don't think I've ever seen a specific set of dies for .38 special...??
The only difference between .38 special and .357 magnum is the magnum case is 1/10 of an inch longer, so a carbide sizing die will do both.
Just means you have to seat your seating and/or crimp dies slightly deeper for .38.
Thing the thing you need is this mate
I have the dies myself the 38 dies will load the 357mag too, The 357Max dies will load 357mag and 357Max only.

I think the OP is using a RCBS press.
Lee and Redding do a .357 die set and a .38 special die set. The .357 dies can't load .38 spec cases.

Normal routine would be to use .38 spec dies (sometimes marked .38/357) and if you don't like resetting your dies you can fit a spacer under the locking ring.

I have a set of new Hornady dies which has written on it "38/357/357 max.
Will shortly be listed in the for sale section.
Sorry I did think you could use Lee dies in the RCBS press
I loaded some rounds up you could put a 10p over the group at 50M
nothing wrong with the Lee dies.
Would a extra lock ring work mate only £3
just put 2 on your die
