Air pellet tins + air pellet collecting.......

    Hi all,

I collect old air pellet tins and pellets, just saw a tin of ELEY "BLACKBOY" No1 BORE on FLEABAY , anyone know much about these please? How much can these go for etc.... as i am thinking of bidding but don't want to overpay , noticed that there are a few watching these.......

    Any info gratefully received

    Cheers all !!!

Hi and welcome to the BBS. Please drop into the Collectables section and you will meet many others with a similar passion for old pellets.

The price of the tin in question is over double the tin's worth IMHO. They can fetch over the £100 mark but in better cosmetic condition than this one.

These slug tins are very popular and date from the 1930s.

    Kind regards,

    John

    Hi Martin,

Personally, I'd wait for a better example to come along as they are not as rare as you might imagine. In the rough shape this tin is in, perhaps £60? TBH I wouldn't even go that high as condition is everything with a display item.
