Top shooting oakies.
Hi All
Yet another great Buxted course for us to enjoy – or not – depending on how you faired.
Thanks to all involved in getting the place ready with lots of new targets in lots of new positions. Fortunately, the forecast wind failed to show up. On the flip side, the light too did not put in an appearance on many of the lanes, resulting in difficulty seeing the plate, let alone the kill zones, specially toward the end of the round when much paint had been removed from around the kills.
In spite of this, young Lewis showed us all the way, finishing a full 2 points clear of the field with a stunning 59. This almost certainly reflected the difficulty factor; that and the total number of Gold Badge winners at an all-time low of 7.

Please let me know a.s.a.p. if you spot anything you think is amiss.
Just one new Platinum Badge won today – to Lewis. My apologies go to him and the Round 7 winners. Even delving in to the deepest corners of the SIHFT bucket failed to find the stock so you will have to await at least another 3 weeks.
Prize drawer winners today were :
- Maciek Pajek – the £30 cash prize, and
- Stuart Osborne – the Air Arms goody bag
Team scores today and cumulative points for Rounds 1-8 are:
Club Round 8 Points Oaks 277 92 Horsham 266 70 Buxted 265 81 Meon Valley 254 80 Ford 248 62 Swallows 241 54 Iden Fern 240 45 Maldon 131 60
Swallows FTC, Ford and MAD all required lucky-dip cards, Maldon getting 3 cards (the max allowed) although were a no-show for today’s round due to a home commitment. Iden Fern did NOT need extra today and it was great to see you out in numbers
Happy and safe shooting to you all ahead of round 9 of the 2016 SIHFT, which is in three weeks on the 28th August at HORSHAM. All the best of everything to those venturing waaay oop North to the UKAHFT round at Rivington on the 21st.

You didn't need it, still a tough course even though a couple of Top Oakie shooters ignored your efforts and just 'knocked 'em down'!
Might have done the same if i remembered to pack my brain!
Aaron top shooting, you are our 'rising star'!!
Shall i update my Sig...or is that too presumptious and darn rude?
