3rd and 4th September Boinger Bash --- Event and Payment Details

I think the most confusion has come about because its called "The Bonfire Bash" and the reason for its being created was to coincide with Bonfire Night, or at least the closest weekend.

Moving it it because it fell on Bonfire Night would be a bit like moving the Queens Speech because it clashed with Christmas.

I keep telling the Mrs that that is how it should be.....gorged out and feet up by mid-afternoon....like it used to be at Mum and Dad's. But we're normally only STARTING dinner at about 4pm!!!


As Gwyn so correctly and eloquently pointed out a week and a half ago...she needs some serious training does that lass.....think I'll need to grow some bigger ones!!!

And I am truly sorry to all our good friends who can't make it on that weekend.

I too feel very sorry for the fine folk who will not be able to make the Bonfire Bash. I feel your pain, chaps, and understand exactly where you're coming from as I have had to experience this myself. And it ain't good. And, as much as most folk who are committed to coming to these events have experienced on the odd occasion, not every single person is able to attend every single event. There are always one or two who would love to come but who can't, whether that is down to work / family constraints. But, as per some of the previous posts, it has been a sort of "unwritten understanding" that the Bash events take place on the first weekend of the month, and many people plan their time off work etc around this.

So, so sorry for any peeps that are unable to attend, you will be missed. The Bash needs you and your excellent support. And for those who can't attend on this occasion, I look forward to seeing you at our April, season opening event.
