did the design change between the marks (geuine question) ? My mk2 sear looks the same (just from memory) as my Mk5
Hi guys,
Have any of you got a top trigger sear for a mk1 airsporter lying about??? ( the one that the piston rod latches onto)
If so please pm me with your price and I will sort payment
Many thanks

Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.
Hi Jon,
Yes it seems like it does change from the mk1 even the actual sear that attaches to the trigger seems different to my mk1, along with the spring.
I'm not sure if the mk2 shares all the same sears as mine but the ones I have see on google images are deffinately different to mine.

According to Chambers, the Mk1 and Mk2 are the same, but Mk3 onwards differ.

One of the great philosophers (I've forgotten which!!), said something to the effect that there are two kinds of knowledge; one is pure knowledge of a subject and the other is the knowledge of where to find information on that subject. I definitely fall into the latter category.

Still looking if anyone has one?????

Buggered!
A well used one which is good!
The sear is not catching anymore as the meat which ingages with the rod has just been milled away to a point where it can't be saved.
Recieved one from chambers which is a modern replacement but that doesn't work as the meat at the bottom which contacts the trigger sear is about 4mm shy of meat!
So I have desided to make the bloody thing myself and hard temper a block of stainless for the lower trigger part and use the new top part .
Well see

I guess you've already seen the one on E8ay? Item number 112145894967.

Don't think it's what you need but had to ask in case
Thanks for this Paul, I hadn't seen it but just checke it and it is the one I have just purchased from chambers. For some reason it is missing 4mm of meat on the bottom which ingages with the triger sear, hence being no good as it misses engagement.
I am half way through making a small trigger sear part so that I can use this new top sear part, fingers crossed, it's very tiny and tricky to make using stanless as its so tough but ill hopefully finish it tonight and temper. May update if it works out.
