Search for gun sock on the bay maybe of use?
Learned folk, I am trying to find a cheap way to protect my rifles in storage. At present I wrap them in old bits of sheets, does anyone know if anyone makes a cheap cloth rifle slip?
Thanks in advance.

IF I WALKED ON WATER PEOPLE WOULD SAY I COULD NOT SWIM !
How do you store them?
Personally I wouldn't wrap a rifle up in anything.
Just oil them and let them breath.

I have two big cabinets that I made myself....problem is they are stood up 2 and sometimes 3 deep so a bit of cloth helps to protect them.
If I made another cabinet Mrs Wadhill my suspect I have too many rifles.. she thinks I have just a few
I cant say how many rifles and pistols I own....... she might read the thread.
lets just say I have a Duck gun bore x a pheasant shooting bore and then about a score more than that in rifles.
Pistols are about a twentieth of a tin of pellets.

Mate are you sure that you are not my twin brother I've got around 30 of the buggers and a wife that is not best pleased that they are taking up all the room. Gun socks are what I use mind you not for my Ltd editions they are in cases which sadly take up a hell of a lot of room.
As an aside to this, I leave a sock full of silva cat litter at the bottom of my cabinet. This helps to obsorb any damp that may be present, especially after a day's rough shooting with the the shotgun.
In Hospitals we use a tubular bandage called tubigrip - that would do it - get a roll and cut to length.
