Ive just bought a new hw99s and noticed where the make a calibre is usually stamped on the breech this one is etched i white? Anyone any idea why. Its serial number is stamped as normal on thr barrel along with hull cartridge.

I don't think it's anything to worry over, I have a 99s and a couple of 30s's, one 30 is the lighter, (gold?), colour and the others are either gold or dark grey. All are genuine Hull Cartridge fifles bought from official HC RFD's.

Same with my new .22 99s, (supplied by Hull Cartridge to the dealer early December). Never seen this on an HW springer before...
p.s. Maybe ours are those new Chinese made Weihrauchs...
