Phil Bulmer did an illustrated three page strip guide on the Record Jumbo in the May 2004 edition of Airgun World.
In this article, for a change from writing historical pieces, I am going to write a guide that details how to disassemble a Record Jumbo. Why the change Jimmie? Well, I bought this pistol rather cheaply at a bring and buy sale almost a year ago. Bargain it was or so I thought. When I got it home when I soon realised it wasn’t such a good deal. It would not fire a pellet at all….

Now that is one of the best illustrated strip down guides I have ever read. Well done and thank you.
What a pity the piston seals are such a pain, or impossible, to get.
Cheers, Phil
Nice one, Jimmy. Bizarre thing, that oval piston and seal. Talk about proprietary (ie. no generic equivalent)!

In British slang an anorak is a person who has a very strong interest in niche subjects.
Just wondered...
Very useful guide Jimmie.
My deluxe model does around 190 and is accurate up to 10 yards.
I had a Standard that was a bit more powerful but not accurate!
Adjustable sights on the deluxe make a big difference.
I will look out for more of these little gems as I have a friend who likes repairing unusual air guns and is happy to make poly seals.
Not sure about this oval one but bet he will give it a go.
I paid £70 for mine 2 years ago.No box.
Standard in box was around the same.
Both from Traders at Bisley.
Nice article and well laid out too...Good job man
