mine went a few weeks ago and kranks website showed they were in stock but when i phoned they didnt have any and was waiting for the uberti order to come in.
they said the order was roughly 6 weeks away so i sourced mine from tacs friends in the states.
also got one from peter dyson at £18 or maybe a tad more delivered but that broke on cocking and had to wait for replacement.
kranks is a good shop but if for some reason it doesnt turn up give us a shout.
mine started not to index properly and was still intact then snapped when i removed and replaced etc

Kranks have a re for good service, but getting parts from Uberti has always been a RPITA. As you note, they have to make up a batch of parts to justify the cost, and maybe what YOU want isn't in that batch.
About a year ago I tried to get a couple of tang screw out of Uberti factory, and I'm still waiting for a response. The usual vendors of bits like this are Dixie Gun works in TN, fast and cheap[ish] service, or, even better for Pedersoli parts, Balasz Németh in his specialist BP store in Budapést - Kapszli-hu.com

Got back today and order from Kranks had arrived. All parts ordered: trigger spring, new hand and cylinder lock all there. Just tried fitting but trigger spring is slightly shorter than original and doesn't reach the trigger. Maybe a design change over the years or maybe a faulty new spring. All the best laid plans!

Thanks for help Steve, the spring you supplied was great. Tried gun out this morning and all works well. The new hand supplied by Kranks was quite difficult to fit, it was lucky I had kept old one as pattern, new one required a lot of reshaping.
One problem I have with gun since I've had it is when fired deposits very quickly build up on cylinder spindle, there's a few marks around end of shaft where previous owner presumably had trouble removing cylinder as well. Is this a common problem?
as tac said.....
i only shoot mine between 6 and 18 shots per session with 25gns swiss bp /wad /.457 ball and have no issues....only thing that can happen is a spent primer cap can drop into a crevice and stop cylinder rotation lol.
i always grease my cylinder pin with imperial wax or sometimes wonderlube if i grease over balls( oooooh errrrr ) and have it left on my fingers.
what bp do you use?

I use 777. I clean cylinder pin every reload as it still just about slides after 5/6 shots. I've got some wonder lube so try that next time. Not had a problem so far with caps falling through slot, had that on a friends old army ruger which seemed quite prone to that problem. Posted spare spring back to you today. The one you supplied looks much better than original quality. Thanks again.
