    Walther LGV (Spezial)

First quick question, is this a Spezial?:
    http://www.egun.de/market/item.php?id=6416335
It is said that the Specials all have the straight trigger blade but on this pic:
    https://www.airrifle.co.za/imagestor...g1970_01-1.jpg
it shows a normal curved blade.

Anyway, second question; do the dual springs of the Special fit into the normal LGV?

The presence or absence of the straight (adjustable) trigger blade isn't definitive evidence of an LGV being a Spezial. Both were available as options.
Spezial = Dual counter-wound springs, and they can be retro fitted.

This thread has some further info and links which might be of use. HTH

The one you linked to looks like the stock has been badly broken across the grip at some time!

The rifle on auction is the second model of the LGV a with what is known as a UIT stock.
The Spezial came in four stock styles UIT, Junior or mini, Tyrolean and the rarely seen three position stock called the Dreistellungskampf.
Walther had many variations of the spezial, milled dovetail with a larger diameter comp tube, both straight and curved triggers, newer style diopter and dual counter wound springs.
They often are found in many forms as Walther made changes to the Spezial as new developments were added.

Ok thnx. Unfortunately the double walther springs seem to be n/a anymore.
I did hear of people using the FWB300 double springs instead.
    Any experience with these?

Is the LG55 the same internally as the LGV? (same spring)

Quick change of subject. Did you manage to release the CO2 from your Aeron by tapping the hammer rod against the valve ? You never replied to the thread. Its nice to get news on a result, helps other people.

LG55 and LGV springs are listed here to compare. As you say, Spezial springs do not seem to be available.

The double spring set is part of what makes the Spezial different from the LGV.
They come up for sale on egun.de regularly, a complete set up for bid now with two weeks left on the auction.

A single model LGV spring will work fine as they are more readily available.

Yes, I noticed that set of springs but its said in the auction that its a FAC set (>7.5J) and thats not what Im looking for.
I understand you can easily use the single spring for the LGV. Actually did just that years ago in a FWB300.
But now Im thinking about an LGV-T project; using the FWB300 springs to get it close to LGV Special performance.
