I've heard it on good authority that it was actually some demonic, mutant snail that finally did for Carleyland and not the rats, as originally assumed.

By the sounds of it, Pauly, poor old Carl was slugging it out against a massive army of rampant, mutant molluscs.....and came off worst.

Poor lad.

He had been advised to carry a pouch of salt with him, but had chosen to disregard that advice.


Seb, all-round top bloke who used to regularly frequent these pages, made hunting snails almost an art from, hence his username, "Slugger".

Honest!




He does nip in occasionally; hope you're keeping well, Seb.

That number is for the Saturday peeps. For those lucky folk who can arrive earlier, we're talikng a tad over THREE WEEKS TO GO!

This thing is going to be on us and, if you're not careful, beyond us in no time at all.

I don't want to start mentioning names (as it's all too easy to inadvertently miss one or two fine people), but if you have been before, you know what it's all about and that each and every one of you makes up an important part of each Bash.

And if you have not been before, but are contemplating coming along, please, please do yourself a huge favour and come and join in all the fun of The Boing.

The event is not for the sole reserve of spring rifles. Any powerplant is more than welcome, as are pistols. These events are informal, fun and informative. As long as you're safe, our fine hosts simply wish you to have a fun and enjoyable time.

Shoot your own guns all day. Try others' guns. Get that long range zero dialled in. Meet and chat and swap and glean tips with enthusiastic, like-minded individuals. Meet some of our most intrepid "shed tuners". Talk guns, scopes, pellets, technique.....talk anything you want, in fact.


The main thing is to get yourself committed to this most wonderful, relaxing, friendship-forming, most unique, non-cliquey, non-competitive, non-money making event you could ever wish to attend, all set in tranquil, picturesque surroundings.


I guarantee you'll love it and a very warm welcome awaits all.
