When I hunted (sensible ranges and springer), the humble 4x32 served me well.

As and when I can afford / justify, the Hawke Airmax 2-7x32 will be right at the top of my list to examine.

The Nikko Air King Gold Crown of the same spec that I bought last Summer sits atop my TX and I'm over the moon with it. Not sure if still available?
I have the Hawke Airmax 2-7x32 on my 97, if its classed as over scopped i dont care i love it, works a treat
