You've quickly seen the flaw in your own plan there Pete. I reckon Moletrapper would be first over the line at 30yds unless there's a barbed wire fence on the way

How about shooting at records, nearest to the hole, no, a bad idea, if I remember my first shot went through the hole and nobody believed me so I suppose thats not a good idea, we wouldn't be able to check. I suppose we could put some on edge and see if anybody could hit them that way, the shooters would have to shoot from the same spot in turn though so that it was from the same angle, say five shots for a small sum like 50p.

    just an Idea.

Nah, I think you'd miss your birdie on the pole, matey.

Do those nasty Southern molluscs like greens? If so, you could have a mini allotment and bait them to get "Snail on Kale"

I think Craigy's got a good idea for a different mini comp for us. He's going to talk with our Uncle Mick to get some more definite idea of a format, methinks. Whatever is decided, it's bound to be great fun and, as you say, enhance even further the whole Bash experience.

    That'd work, Mel.

And, if shooting at them face on, we could have summat behind the hole in case of any disputed hole shots.

    On edge also sounds good.

Where's the usual head shots only brigade?

    Snails deserve equality too.

Maybe we ought to specify a minimum calibre for snail shooting? 6.35mm? You wouldn't want to wound the bugger and have him charge you.

I only use a 100ft/lb daystate mythical caliber for body shots
I do have another anti snail option to be exclusively revealed at the bash!

    Mmm.....just another thought on this........

Excess alcohol and insufficient protection may result in unsightly snail trails.

Would that be a compact Cornishman who frequents his French abode?

    And a hammer?

    Compact eh? I like that.

That French France? I've been back for exactly 7 days and frankly I'm annoyed. It's cold, wet and miserable. Everyone is moaning and arguing and its generally not fun.

I went online this afternoon and booked some tickets back. For Thursday!

    Suddenly I feel happier!

Summer happened......about 10 days ago, Nick.

And I thought you'd like the term "compact". Sounds so much more polite than stumpy!
