Doh , just seen you want .177
There's a Brocock aim x at Mc Avoys in .177
Hi Guys
I've been having fun with a couple of SMK P700 PCP pistols I bought, and I was thinking of buying an even better one for the wife as she really likes using pistols. I'm fine with my one, I prefer rifles, but I though I'd find out if there is anything better out there which she could get even better with? This will not be used for comps, just casual plinking.
So I'm just looking for ideas and suggestions, but what I want is:
1. PCP in .177, no CO2/spring/gas ram - must be a PCP
2. Available in left hand/ambi
3. Able to take a red dot sight
4. Accurate - but not Olympic grade!
5. Budget up to £400 and would prefer 2nd hand to get more for my money
6. Preferably fairly modern, say last 5 years
I'm not that up on pistols, so any general advice will be well received.
Thanks
James

Thanks Guys, I'm just not up on pistols, but I was kind of hoping for something a bit more modern, I'll add another hundred to the budget if that helps? First post updated.

I like the Rohm Twinmaster Top, mainly because it has an eight shot magazine, but it has a single shot adapter if you prefer. You can pick them up for £200-£250.

Ah now you have upped the budget , the Rohm comes in .
As saiid above , a twin master would be nice.
Not sure if they are ambi though , I think available in r/h or L/h
I love the laminated multi coloured wood grip, really well made, had a few different sizes for my Top but sold them on. The only criticism I have of the Rohm is the low power output but as I do long distance pistol shooting with mine I upped the power with extra Belleville washers in the regulator and a stronger hammer spring. Still well within legal limit but shoots great and really accurate.

There's the Twinmaster Trainer.
Repeats or use single action for more precise target shooting.
Nice case too.
Second hand @£250.

A multi shot sounds good, she hates the loading on the P700 she has, and power is not a big deal as long as it's good out to about 15m. The P700s we have are both set at around 5.5fpe, but I'd rekon 3.5 / 4 would be fine at a guess? I've looked a t a few images of some of the guns suggested, but many don't have an 11mm dove tail for the red dot sight.

Looks like it's going to have to be a HW44 then James
Thanks Alan, I just had a look and this would be ideal if I could get a second hand one, but at over £600 new I don't want to take the hit on it when my wife's gets bored and stops using it, 2nd hand I'd not lose too much so it's worth the punt even if spending similar money.
I'll keep looking, but this is exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for.
Thanks

Still thinking about this - anything else out there? As Alan mentions, the HW45 would be ideal if 2nd hand or cheaper.
