The battle for the top slot at the inaugural B.A.R.C. was an extremely close one, with Dave Ramshead just edging it by a single, solitary point:

Our thanks go to Richard Woods for setting to very challenging but most enjoyable courses (not a single stoppage on either course throughout the entire day must be a record of some sort!), to Bridgette Vant and Jean Greatrex for their unstinting help in making the day run so smoothly, the Meon Valley guys (Steve, Mike, Kev) and Rex for their help in pulling in the course at the end of the day, Air Arms for bringing their Speed Shot along for us all to have a go at (massive grin factor!), and most importantly all who took part and made the day so enjoyable - a fabulous atmosphere, no "prima donna" behaviour, banter of the highest order, and smiles all round.
We've already decided to run this event next year - and having hosted this shoot so well and put out such outstanding courses, there's no question that the second British Air Rifle Championships will once again be staged at MAD; as soon as we've set the date, we'll be letting you all know

"i will lay money Dop set at least some of the 'dodgey' ones " -- of course not! he got his Minions to do that!!!!!!!!!!!! Ha, ha!!!
Brilliant days shooting. Great courses (what a fantastic idea to put the two disciplines into one course)
Well done to Dop for your insight to putting out a fabulous course.
Well done to all the winners, especially Dave with your handicap of having to shoot with me!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not to mention Nick and Rob who marshalled the whole day. And the Air Arms team who came up to run the speed shoot and "have a go". Sheila, Chris and Greg.
Most importantly, everyone who came along (ft and hft shooters) to make the day such a brilliant success.
I was shooting in the hft lane behind Ian Phillips in the afternoon - he has never shot hft before, but his enjoyment of doing something so different was a joy to watch!! His face when he knocked down a target!!!!!!!
Roll on next year, gives me time to practice!!

BRONZE!
M.A.D FOR IT!
thanks for a great misadventure, I loved being part of it even though it soon became apparent that I had messed up big time right at the start. Oh well lets have a laugh. As far as I am concerned I WON, being given an award for being a pratt seemed to be a successful shoot to me. Thanks Paul for your lovely donation, I shall record all my misses with pride and remember a great day. The best bit was when my milk carton collapsed and I took it off, then i put two targets down. whoops, that didnt work then.
Fabulous courses and great company and what splendid food too. that had to be the best food that I have encountered on a shoot.

Does anyone know how to contact doughnuts Anonymous cos I just cant seem to give them up and may be a 0 addict
Yep 2nd last. Beaten by FT A grade Knobbers. Respect. Got to say though found my first ever FT round quite a bit easier than I expected shooting the little 10mag 32mm fixed parrallax NF on low mounts. Pity I missed all the close 15mm on the FT course and 20mms on the HFT course go figure. Seeing the pellet miss on the 50yarder in the field taking over 3 mildots of wind then knocking the 55yarder in the same lane by giving it 3 mildots plus makes me think perhaps my parrallax needs winding back a bit for HFT.
Just think Dop if you had used my gun you would probably have won.
