Stirrup pumps

hi,
Do people find stirrups pumps easy to use? Or do you wish you'd got a bottle?

Pumps make you self sufficient. Get one with a Dry Pac like the Hills one.
Builds your muscles up!!!!

Just do it a while before shooting as the exercise can play havoc with the steadiness of your aim!

Finally went pre-charged about two years ago. I bought a pump thinking it would be no problem. Bought a bottle after a couple of months, I've got better things to do with my time. It's no real problem if you are a hunter but if you are a club shooter you soon get sick when you have a full day on the range. All that pumping is hardly a helpful aid to accuracy either.

Stirrup pumps are easy to use when there is some charge in the rifle I.E. 100 bar, as it doesnt take long to get upto the 190 bar level to be fully charged. However, when the air cylinder is completly empty (brand new rifle) it does take some work. My two rifles never have less than 100 bar in the cylinder so it is easy to top up.

On the other hand, filled a buddy bottle the other night and the good lady thought I was going to have a heart attack !

I must admit, I am looking at buying a 7 ltr 300 bar bottle in the near future, it is so much easier and quicker to fill. !!!

I only hunt at the moment, I don't find using a pump a great stress at all.
