Shedder I can't speak to the differences between Gen 2 & Gen 3 but I believe Gen 2 can be serviced.

Unfortunately photob$ll$cks has removed the images so its now text only. However I have a full copy that I'd like to post here but my account says "You may not post attachments" I've asked Admin for some guidance and hope to be able to add the info in the near future.
