Question What Did You Lot Get Up To This Weekend, (Shooting-wise)?

I spent Sunday afternoon hunting - to clarify, I mooched about the farm, 99s in hand, for a couple of hours or so without a single opportunity presenting itself. Returned to base and swapped said 99s for the Williams+TruGlo-equipped 30s for a fun plinking session until rain stopped play. Retired to the farmhouse, cleaned the rifles before cracking open a couple of beers with my pal...

Silhouette comp on saturday, it was so cold that the target disappeared in cloud of vapor after each shot and I was shaking from cold so it didn't go that well. However, afterwards I got to do some bullet testing with .224 BSA and managed to find a good MOA bullet size. I also got to shoot a 20mm 3000 fpe Fury, that thing has RECOIL with 170 gram bullets.

    Nice one, RW.

    Unfortunately, no such luck here.

No shooting but a little rationalising with my rifles.
    Sold a Steyr H5 and a Ripley
Bought a single shot ultra se and a HW30
i did watch the buyer of my h5 put around 100 shots through it into 2 groups before we talked money. He was beaming ear to ear

I spend Sunday afternoon on Stickledown at the 900 yd point, trying to hit the target in blustery, variable wind, sun, and rain, with my short barreled (18'') Mossberg MVP LC .308

    It didn't go well....

Watched one squirrel in a no shoot area before it ran off, so to sum up i picked up a rifle and then put it down again.

I had a couple of hours on my local golf course permission on Sunday afternoon with my FAC Cricket. Only managed to bag a couple of rabbits and a squirrel, quite poor compared to the last couple of outings where I was getting 10+ squirrels each time, but nonetheless was nice to be out.
One shot, one kill. Not luck, just skill.

Mooching around garage/shed/house with a handful of rooks watching from the 45yd tree went inside & got the Rapid .25 out of the cabinet, as soon as the front door started to open again all I heard was flapping wings as they did a starburst
    Put Rapid back in cabinet.

Gf and myself went around farm on Sunday to assess any damage to fences and trees caused by Brian, saw plenty of wildlife, but the odd thing was we saw no rabbits, or squirrels, and very few pigeons or corvids.

Shot the FT practice course at Blaenau Gwent AGC on Sunday, me and my HW97K. Got the longest target on the course, and both of my standers. Not much else!
