    HW80 Needs Tuning

    Hi Chaps
    I have a HW80 lovely gun but just Chrono at 9.5flb, so I would like to Tune her up to 11.5ish happy to do what ever is required but not sure of the best components spring seals etc any suggestions please.

    Take it apart and check the spring and seals, clean off the grease and relube sparingly. Rebuild and check power again.

    Personally, I'd replace the breech seal and re chrono' it before she comes apart. If it's still low then maybe a full piston seal and guide tune up. You could even consider short stroking it. But you might just find the five quid seal fixes it.

    If the breech seal looks flat, replace it.
    If when stripped the piston seal looks brown and feels brittle in any way replace that too.

    If its a TbT kit then yes . there is other tuning companies out there ..seems you cant use the TbT web address same as you cant use eblag

    yes its the TbT kit although I cant work out how to purchase from there website !! its seems theres no buy button.

    Also be mindful of what pellets you're using.

    If you are getting 9.5 with pellets that are inefficient, this may well equate to well over 11 with a more efficient variety.

    Given its a HW80 and depending on budget a simple regrease with new seals may do exactly as you want it. Can't blame you for wanting more though!!

    It's strange, usually keeping the power down on the 80 is the problem

    When you do get to chrono it again use lighter pellets eg. RWS Hobby.
