Affordable best finished off has got to be British Brum Webley... that beautiful bluing!!!!!
Legend of a springer has to go to the HW80 which is accurate and bomb proof, if run out of pellets then can use the gun as a club it's so robust but dare I say Weihrauchs bluing isn't the best n never has been.
Rapid 7 Mk1.22 is the best bunny basher pcp imo, takes some punishment, reliable, dependable and accurate.Apart from the 80 the Rapid is the only gun I have kept long term (coming up to 18 years)
But there are lots of goodun out there!!!!!!
John Darling JD (1946-2004) was my inspiration to be the best i can and enjoy the sport i love. R.I.P

Perhaps it could be the one that remained in production for 50+ years virtually unchanged and will probably remain in production for many more.
It comes in the two main calibres and came in a very mixed variety of stocks and even barrel lengths.
Its trigger remains to this day one of the best on the market.
Its also one of the easiest to strip and is all steel.
No - Im not talking of the Wobbly pistol.

I realise a lot of folks will disagree due to power considerations but for my money a FWB 300 variant. The quality & design is nothing short of superb. I'm pretty sure something of that quality could not be produced today at a cost anyone would pay. (Exception- Spartan, but not exactly a production gun).Just my twopenneth.

ok, I admit it, I've got a problem.

Rapid 7 Mk 2 Anschutz
I think my vote would have to go for the 35 also. It changed everything I reckon.
