    So do you think these guns have been damaged by harsh usage?

    I would never fan a Colt - even the real thing if I had one - but Umarex are selling one with a very short barrel specially designed for fanning.

    Nor am I the type who repeatedly dry fires the gun or spins the cylinder.

    When I was not actually shooting the gun it would be left alone on display.

    The Norwegian video maker Mr. RuneRebel has also experienced this problem: look at the bb marks at the breech end when he takes off the barrel.
