Has anyone used a laser has a rangefinder to good success.ive seen a couple of vids where it’s mounted and the laser dot centred on the cross hair at the chosen zero therefore you would know how much hold over/under you much need at closer and furher distances
i have done this but you have to make sure you don't knock the laser. I put one on my AirArms Hi-power. i put it inside the plastic stock and drilled a hole for the beam to come out . zeroing it was an issue though as the space was tight .
I made this set up to use my Yukon Nvmt night vision on my .22lr
https://www.dropbox.com/s/r4whp5b4zj...61b4e.jpg?dl=0 The yukon Nvmt sat on the top. The yukon has no crosshair so the laser is the aiming dot. Zeroed for 30 yards . Only used it once.
And if you do decide to go for a laser ,Get one with turrets on the outside . The one above has the adjusters inside at the front and its a nightmare to set up.And green lasers are better for day time than red.

I used one on a Logan s16. The laser fitted below the barrel, so targets less than zero had the dot showing under, and targets further showed the laser over. It was a rough guide, but due to the scope height above barrel was effective, aim where the dot shows with the cross hair on target, close in, the cross hairs are higher than the bore, further away the aim point needs to be higher. Plenty of practice at known ranges is needed to learn the aim points! David
Green is better for Day AND night a its brighter .
One that looks and operates like this style would be my choice https://www.amazon.com/Feyachi-Tacti.../dp/B01BTJGR16
The adjusters as like scope ones where as my red one in the pic i posted above has 3 tiny screws on the face of it as seen in this pic https://www.dropbox.com/s/svgzt5qjr0...20104.png?dl=0
The problem is finding a laser powerful enough for daytime use. Most on the market are pretty useless during daylight hours.
You could buy a cheap laser pointer off eblag in green and see if it works where you shoot. And see if it's worth getting a laser sight.
Put a laser on a sharp innova probably best part of 20 years ago, maybe longer when lasers first appeared on the scene well before proper rifle lasers were about.. Machined a new block assy up to go on the end of the barrel and pump tube holding the laser. The laser was supported by eight tiny grub screws for adjustment. Then run a wire to back of stock with a press to hold on button switch.
I shot this rifle for years mainly for ratting. Was handy too when at times you'll never had time to shoulder the rifle before Roland scarpered, so shooting whilst carrying the rifle was ideal.
Looking through the scope was good, as the laser acted like a tracer reflecting in the skirt of the pellet.
