    Northern Arms Gold Sierra

I'm asking for a friend. He was the maker on the Gold Sierra that was featured in 1987 as an Airgun World competition.
It's the one with the gold wirework and a big Eagle inlay.
If anyone could post a photo of it that would be great.
Am asking because he made it.
Any one have any ideas of its location?

It was broken up and sold on here by member, Bruce Gill.

If you do a search of posts started by Bruce you should find it, IIRC the stock ended up with a member from south Birmingham.

I can't help, but here's mine. Any info about it, or about the Northern Arms custom 77s gratefully received.

No need, Murl, IIRC BBS member roll27 bought the stock.

So that's what happened to this rifle!
I am sure I nearly bought same rifle a few yrs before Bruce.
Sure it was same rifle, as I remember the inlay of the bird in stock. Think that's the reason I didn't buy in end as not sure I liked the inlay ,)

    Cheers Mick.

All the info is from memory, Charlie.

But I remember being a bit shocked when Bruce broke the gun up for parts, and hopefully I'm right in saying roll27 bought the stock.

Also from memory, the action had been tuned by venom which was why Bruce bought it to play with, but he also didn't like the stock, which is why he sold it on.

This is great. I can pass your details on to Andrew if you like. He built it and all the others. PM me if you like.

So some good news, the one in the thread was split then reunited with its stock and is now much loved.
The competition rifle remains a mystery.

Apparently your box is full (ooo-er missus). But, yes, I'd really appreciate that.

    Er, no.

Just for clarification, the competition rifle as shown in the magazine in 1987 is the one that Bruce Gill broke, this gun had a walnut thumb hole stock with inlay work, this stock was sold on here by Bruce to roll27.

We need to search through Bruce's sales posts to trace the action, it could be that Geezer's action is from the competition gun but is now wearing a different stock.

I shall carry out a search in the morning to try to clarify things.

If I can find a picture of the competition gun from 1987 I'll post a picture of it.

Cheers. My rifle was bought in the period 1996-1999.
