A good way to get involved with the hobby!

Welcome to this wonderful hobby / sport Jack and friend.

And a very warm welcome to the BBS. Here you'll find lots of helpful and knowledgeable people dishing out helpful advice.

Although I don't know your area and hence availability of clubs, visiting / joining a club is absolutely the right thing to do. Most are extremely friendly places and the experienced shooters will help you on the way with good advice on safety, technique, guns, scopes, pellets etc etc.

    Enjoy.

Couple of clubs I know of in S. Essex, one near Tilbury (ETL) and the other over at Ongar (Springfield), both are welcoming clubs and have websites.

Maldon and district air rifle club won't be too far from Boreham
Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're probably right.

Maldon and district is halfway between the two of you and don't forget Pete's airgun farm.

If you need any help with anything I'm in Rayleigh.

You could look at joining a smallbore club. Most have an air rifle section or you can shoot Lightweight Sporting Rifle (LSR) with your air rifle.

These are the clubs in Essex.

You must be new to the hobby....

Most people would start with a pistol or a spring powered, clubs are usually used for golf....

Sorry just nobody had made that joke yet...
