80 - just iconic, have used but never owned one (yet)
100 - not thrilling to shoot but so good (bad) for pests!

An ideal starter rifle until the 'owner' becomes old enough (strong enough) for the superb HW30. Its often over looked by adults who are spoilt for choice.

I have one of the old ones with the finger-grooves, steel end-cap and no safety. It seems as nicely finished as the bigger ones, although the trigger is rather basic. Has a whiff of 'training rifle for the Bundeswehr' about it although it is tiny, one of the few springer air-rifles you can shoot one-handed like a pistol.

I got my son a fairly recent one and it was a big disappointment. The trigger totally let it down. I know a heavy trigger is supposed to be safe for youngsters and teaches good control - but the HW25 one was beyond heavy. It was impossible to shoot accurately or consistantly - even for an adult. You had to yank it And apparently there is nothing you can do about it. I think the trigger might have been better and adjustable on the earlier ones.

The best UK Weihrauch for the hunter would be the original UK Hw85. Plus the HW35 as it was the original motherlode and the earlier HW77's/Hw80's for accuracy and fine engineering.

For me it would have to be the 80, 95 and 35. If I could add another it would be the original 77.

Is anyone going to add up the votes and see which Weihrauch 'wins'?

There are a few votes for the 35, which is generally reviled by Weihracuh fans, although the modern one (with dead space issues fixed and a nylon piston head) is really an HW80 for the UK market.
