In British slang an anorak is a person who has a very strong interest in niche subjects.
Cool-did it come with poison darts trev?
Will it kill rabbits at 80yds?
A bloke in the pub had one that did, regularly. And he rarely missed.

These are of course highly illegal in the UK, unless you can prove they are antique. But then again, so are pea shooters I believe.
I brought one in the USA, it had a sight, and rotary storage for abt 12 barbed darts; needless to say it had to travel in a security container in the hold of the plane; along with the dum dum pellets. [Crossman hollow points]
I think they thought I might hijack the plane.
Most schoolboys made their own when I was at Grammar school. Usually quite accurate.

Illegal to buy, sell, import or manufacture as per the knee jerk TMNT law of 1988. Bought before 1988 and in private ownership, perfectly legal. Due to the massive threat posed by this, the Government now plans to ban private ownership of any "ninja weapons" plus flicknives etc. A reclassication of flicknives is also on the cards...goodbye assisted openers.
It ticks so many wrong boxes - potentially antique, animal product, silent but deadly weapon.
BUT if anybody is interested I have a Trademe account and (probably) a container on its way from NZ by about July.
You'd really stand out at MM with that.

Whats the difference between "highly illegal" and illegal ? Is it 6 months or 5 years ?

We made our own when 'I were a lad at school'. Legs retrieved from broken / thrown out tubular steel chairs (colour green I remember), darts made from rolled up paper cone with a darning needle or long panel pin in the end. Most effective firing at targets drawn on a classroom notice board. The school banned them when one numpty fired a dart through another lad's leg. So irresponsible.
Must be one of the easiest target shooting items to make ... bit of 15mm copper tubing, steel wire and a few paper cones.
Cheers, Phil
