    Yet Another Webley Pistol Valuation.

Could the gentlemen of the collectable section give me a guesstimate of the value of my late fathers pistol, he bought it new in the thirties and it came to me some 40 years ago.
Unfortunately before I collected it mum binned the box, cleaning brush and pellet tin because I would not want that tatty old thing.

That Straight Grip Senior looks to be in superb condition, but Mum needs a good talking to as the boxes for that model are like gold dust, and add considerably to the value.
I would value it around £350, but I wouldn't be surprised if others disagree.

    The link works perfectly.

That's a beauty. I know a number of people who would be very pleased to buy that for £350 and might think they have a bargain. A lovely thing to own. One family ownership adds to its desirability too. Good luck.

Yep - in that condition with no box £350 is perfectly achievable imo.

There are no marks where it has been laying either, which is unusual, so if I was selling my starting price would be in excess of £400.

A lovely example of my favourite Webley air pistol and I would have thought that around the £400 would about right.

They don't come better than that Peter. There are Webley collectors out there that would love such a pristine example. And you have it's provenance. I think that you might have to fight them off if you put it up for sale.

Wash your mouth out But I know what she means!

That is a corker of a pistol and if it goes to a good home all the better. A credit to you and your father.

wow, that's absolutely superb, I reckon you could actually get higher the £400 for it, Where else will a collector find one as good as that, A well advertised specialist auction could see a few collectors fighting for that one, put a reserve on it for the estimated values suggested to protect yourself, who knows where it could go, personally with the family connection I'd keep it and treasure it, even at £500, pound notes soon get spent and forgotten, looked after you'll have a lovely keepsake that will only ever increase in value.
