The LP53 is definitely a contender. It's just so tidy and purposeful.

    And,

Not sure that 'graceful' is a term than can be applied to any air pistol, very few have the flowing lines of say, a BSA Airsporter rifle etc. I think pistols can be handsome, well proportioned, even aggressive. But in my eyes not graceful. These two are definatly two of the better looking ever made. IMO. 😊

No question grace is something special, not easily acheived. You know it when you see it, the Gifford and the Brown.

    Not at LV.
Most of my shooting was at EBSC.
    Don't go there often now.
Spent many, many years shooting centre fire pistol there. 😊

Good thread this has become. Your answer made me think back to my centrefire pistol days. Dont get me wrong, I LOVE all airguns to death, HOWEVER, that said I do miss shooting my centre fire pistols.

I too think that Haenel had something when they came up with the Luger lookalike, their model 28. Here is mine in its period case

Ah, had you mixed up with someone else, beg your pardon.
I used to go down EBSC for IPAS and PP on tuesdays, but had to stop a few years ago due to time and work constraints.

If it had ever made it into production, the Webley Whiting would certainly have been a contender in this category.

From the Collins English Dictionary:- 'Something that is graceful is attractive because it has a pleasing shape or style'

I think some of you are 'stretching' the definition somewhat

This thread certainly proves the old adage "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder".

Good job we all like different things-women, pistols, music etc etc

I too feel the Luger was the nicest pistols to point and shoot, They just feel right, with regards to Air pistols I still favour the lines of the LP53 and the Haenel 28 which will be on my list for Kempton this year
