Should have gone to spec savers springs to mind !!!
So, the lesson for today is always ALWAYS check what's in the box before leaving the RFD, even if you're in a hurry!
Yesterday I popped in after work to pick up my brand-spanking new right handed TX200Mk3. I was in a hurry, so both I and the shop assistant, just quickly opened the box and checked it was indeed a full-length TX200 in a walnut stock. I then jumped in the car and sped home for friday pub-night
I've just unboxed the TX200 only to find, bizarrely that some muppet at AA has fitted a RH action into a LH stock and sent it out the door FFS!!!
Just rang the RFD and they're going to call AA (or the distributor) on monday to see if they want to swap the whole gun or just swap the stock for a RH one.
How is this even possible????

Im pretty sure its the shop swapping stocks not AA.

A friend of mine had a similar experience but with a Daystate rifle , correctly picked up his Lefthanded 177 got home and once pellets started dropping down the barrel realised they had given him a 22 barrel !! marked up incorrectly !! They were very good and collected the rifle and he was able to upgrade to a posher thumbhole by way of apology.
Hardly a fuming moment ..... more a day and night mistake that's so blatant it will be sorted 👍
It's a Friday ten mins to five clocking off rush job lol
Fuming...what a drama queen

Accuse in anger and embarrassment can be round the corner.
You opened the box but didn't notice it was wrong handed? Crikey.
The Mayor: Intent? How did you establish that?

I was told by a gun shop,(No names )
That they accidentally sold a .177 springer to someone instead of a .22.
The guy later complained the pellets where too tight.
On returning the rifle the guy had managed to force several .22 pellets into the .177 barrel with his fingers.
Cannot confirm if true as told in gun shop chat.

Im sorry, Dunk is entitled to be annoyed.
He is going to have to waste his time and money dealing with this.
AA should give him some free goodies.

How did you get that from me saying AA should make a goodwill gesture for a daft mistake ?
I know, it's a bit nuts wasn't it.... I thought it might have been over the top!
Please forgive me, my flippant sarcasm does really really wonder off into the sunset sometimes.. I see things very literally and I have compassion for the poor chap at AA that was having a bad day, I also sometimes see us western folk moaning in about very trivial things with all our might when really we have so little to moan about in the grand scheme of things. No offence was meant I was just highlighting the nature of this culture of blame that we live in

Fair enough Rhys.
See where you are coming from.
