Even the best can have faults, some are common and some are very rare and some we just put up with because we like the gun, sometimes old is better and sometimes new. But what is the worst that you have seen
Here is a few of our favourites we make excuses for LOL

Worst fault .... the person pulling the trigger?
It had BSA written on it.
Not sure if this is applicable ... are you looking for problems?
Ok .. bought a BSA standard at an antiques fair several years ago. Got home, stripped it down, just in case, and found there was no piston head. Oh dear.
Ok .. bought a nearly new rifle at auction for a bit of fun, maybe a Westlake (don't laugh please). At home, performance was awful on first shot so I stopped and stripped it. I found the piston head detached and stuck in the cylinder. Screw thread had stripped. My guess is that it had come loose, been fired and the thread stripped on the securing bolt. Oh dear ... easily fixed but should not have happened.
Daughter bought a brand new Diana 46 stutzen, performance was poor. Noted breech seal was missing. Was sent another one but it tended to fall out as it was a poor fit. Complained about it; told 'Yes they all do that'. I fitted a better O ring that fitted.
Cheers, Phil
1) Springs finished by ape with angle grinder, not even flat, like a corkscrew at each end.
2) Internal grease full of swarf, possibly caused by 1.
3) Buzzed like a swarm of bees in a tinfoil factory, caused by 1.
Hw80 bought from a shop called vandenburgers in the 80's. Couldn't really test in shop. Trigger engagement had Ben mesed with and would go off at random. Barrel bent sideways.
Mind you, took it home and returned it just wrapped in plasic bags on a mixture of tubes and buses. Doubt if you could do that now!
My little HW30! That was the worst gaulling I have seen on these, but sadly, it's been on every second hand '30 I've bought and worked on. I've one in the cave at the moment, where the bracket had been welded on back to front, meaning the M6 thread was in the wrong position to align with the stock screw. Sadly someone had carried on using it, so the front trigger screw hole in the stock had become oval, due to lack of clamping force.
LOL I cringe every time I see that piston rod pull out.
Funny that when you look on the threads for the Issue here
