Better to admit you walked through the wrong door than spend your life in the wrong room

Always intrigued by the Fox. Loved the idea of it. Such a shame they disappeared.
The Brocock law change was such a crass piece of legislation, you can own the cartridges and pump but not the guns

Were all the “foxes” meant to of been handed in at a loss to the owners?
Not just the fox rifles, all BAC and TAC rifles and pistols were subject to the same legislation. The owners had two options, either surrender for destruction (with no reimbursement) or put on a firearms ticket under the condition they are destroyed as soon as the firearms ticket is surrendered. So effectively they have no resale valve at all.
I think some people either stripped and sold for spares or sold to people in other countries where the ban didn't apply, when the legislation was brought in.
I thought the Fox was only in .25 ?
If enough of the us who had a fox and want to see it back should keep at the manufactures about producing one with the relevant modifications if they it can be done and I bet not for a lot of money as there is valves and triggers and even very compact bottles for the power source already developed ---something with the valve type used in the gun-power range? a stock made from formed tube steel or high tensile alloy the same shape as the old fox stock -- and a hammer mechanism like the gun-power range but without the scope rail --a scope could be mounted the same way as the old fox used to be ----surly it will be a real winner??? and it will be a real shame if its not British made
I had both .22 and an Original Steve Harper in .25ss with his brass liner.....in fact i had quite a collection of these bits.....hence my Handle AC all day. As with most things with a methodical aproach i have achieved extreamly good accuracy and consistancy with TACs and Airmunitions cartridges to the point i used to have an Orion 6 set up as a target pistol...
Following on this thread.....any one got any info/pics on this one off??
